By eliminating livestock farming and fossil-fuel-based polyurethane, our material significantly lowers greenhouse gas emissions. Livestock alone contributes to 14–15% of global emissions, largely due to methane. Our process can reduce emissions by up to 60–70% compared to conventional leather. This directly supports climate change mitigation.

Elimination of Toxic Chemicals

Nearly 90% of leather worldwide is tanned using chromium salts, which pollute soil and water. Our leather is completely chromium-free, removing toxic waste from the production process. This prevents long-term contamination of ecosystems. It also improves safety for workers and surrounding communities.

Water Conservation

Traditional leather production requires thousands of litres of water per kilogram of material, contributing to water scarcity. Our bio-based formulation significantly reduces water usage during processing. By avoiding intensive livestock and tanning stages, freshwater demand is minimized. This supports sustainable resource use in water-stressed regions.

Waste Reduction & Biodegradability

Synthetic leather is plastic-based and can persist in the environment for hundreds of years. Our leather is 100% biodegradable and compostable, producing no microplastics. Made from waste flower petals, it diverts organic waste from landfills. At end of life, it safely returns nutrients to the soil.
