How do we make vegan leather?
Learn about our process, which aims to be 100% sustainable and works toward making our planet greener.
1. Collection of waste flower petals

Discarded flower petals are collected from local sources where floral waste is generated. This diverts organic waste from landfills and forms the primary raw material for the leather.
2. Preparation of Bio-Based Ingredients

Bio-based materials including PHA, agar, and glycerol are prepared and measured. These components provide flexibility, binding strength, and durability while remaining fully biodegradable.
3. Formulation and Blending

The processed flower petals are combined with the bio-based materials to form a uniform composite. This formulation ensures structural integrity while maintaining the look and feel required for leather applications.
4. Sheet Formation and Drying

The composite mixture is spread into thin sheets and allowed to dry under controlled conditions. This step transforms the formulation into leather-like sheets with consistent texture and strength.
5. Finishing and Performance Optimization

The sheets are treated to enhance durability, flexibility, and surface aesthetics. The final material is suitable for replacing both animal and synthetic leather in fashion applications.
6. End-of-Life Recycling and Composting

At the end of its lifecycle, the leather can be recycled or composted. Its nutrient-rich composition allows it to act as a natural fertiliser, promoting soil health and completing a circular, eco-positive system.
